Puhos School

Puhos School offers education for grades 1–6 and is located near Lake Orivesi in the township of Puhos. The priority areas of Puhos School are music, nature and exercise. The school offers a diverse learning environment, and the surrounding nature is often utilised in the teaching.

Peer support

Fifth-graders act as peer supporters for first-graders, and sixth-graders for second-graders. The peer supporters offer help and security to the younger pupils at the start of their school career.

Student association

Puhos School has an active student association. The student board organises different tournaments throughout the school year.

Pupil welfare

Pupil welfare is the responsibility of the school nurse, school social worker and school psychologist.

Clubs

The school organises clubs as short courses on different topics during the school year. The club selection varies each year in accordance with the pupils’ wishes.
