Early childhood education and care

Early childhood education and care (ECEC) means the caring, education and teaching of children with emphasis on pedagogics. The task of ECEC professionals is to promote the comprehensive growth, development and learning of children in collaboration with their guardians.

In Kitee, the early childhood education and care services include family daycare, group family daycare and daycare in daycare centres, as well as “viskari” preschool for five-year-olds, pre-primary education, and daycare and play activities for preschool pupils.
