Applying for early childhood education and care for a child in preschool

In Kitee, if your child is attending pre-primary education, you can apply for a place for them in a daycare centre, family daycare or play activities on the grounds of full-time job/studies. Daycare for a child in pre-primary education is organised in connection with the preschool facility. If you need daycare for your child before 6:00 or after 18:00, you must also apply for round-the-clock care.

You can apply for early childhood education for a preschool-age child either online or on a printable form. You can return the application form to the ECEC Service Planner, to one of the institutions offering pre-primary education, or to any of the City Service Points.

The City of Kitee uses an invoicing system based on the hours of care. For invoicing purposes, draw up an estimate of the total number of your child’s monthly daycare hours already when you are filling in the application.
